It's obviously because those of us who buy and use Leicas..... sorry, 'people with more money than sense' / 'red dot worshippers' / 'talentless photographers obsessed with brand ownership' / 'purchasers of male jewellery' etc etc. buy and appreciate what Leica do. First professional mirrorless camera, best live view screen, obsession with image quality, high production values etc. etc.
Personally I buy Leicas because they leave out the 'bloat', hold their value and seem to be designed by and for photographers. Plus regarding the prices, anyone checked out the cost of the Sony A series cameras recently. Who needs hand assembled metal when you can have mass produced polycarbonate at premium prices. Plus finally Leica don't release minor upgrades every three weeks (or does it just feel like that with everybody else!)
