One Image One Camera One Day -Falstaff Leica M7 Orion -15 28mm f/6 Lens - Agfa ISO 200 film

This is a statue of the Shakespearean character Falstaff in Stratford-upon-Avon. It was taken on my Leica M7 film camera with an Orion-15 28 mm f/6 which is an old Russian pancake lens with an f/6 widest aperture. I wrote a post about it on my Leica SL (Typ 601).

It's a strange little lens. Very small and light and as you can on the M7 picture above it almost sits flush with the body. It produces very sharp images and a lot of DOF since it's maximum aperture is f/6. I bought it on ebay and I've always enjoyed using it. The statue shot above is shot wide open and as you can see the statue of Lady Macbeth and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre are in focus. The image however is pretty grainy, since I've had to lighten it because it was a dark winters day. It's one of those 'odd' pictures I take from time to time on my film cameras and I like it a lot. It's just a bit quirky and something I probably wouldn't have taken on digital. It's never been uploaded to a picture library and never will be. So it is an example of my 'personal work.'
