I took out two adapters with me yesterday. The Metabones Speed Booster and a passive adapter. This gave me two different focal length options for the lens.

I got some great pictures with these combinations yesterday. Some in almost 'Biblical' light. The long period of warm sunny weather has come to an end. The temperature has dropped by 10 degrees selsius and the classic British combination of sunshine and showers has returned. My disappointment at having to put the shorts back in the drawer and find a jacket again was however tempered by the dramatic cloud formations and the glorious shafts of light that I encountered. The lens performed as well on the G6 as it did on the Fuji X-E1 and I'm looking forward to getting the other two Series E lenses I've bought on ebay. £185 for three Nikon primes strikes me as a pretty good deal and I'm sure I will enjoy using them.

I would conclude by saying yet again how good the focus peaking on the G6 is. If its the same system in the GX7 camera, then those who have that camera on order and use MF legacy and non-brand lenses are in for a treat.
