All images - Nikon D800E 50mm f/1.8G
First off, from some very hastily conducted tests, there doesn't seem much difference between the D and new G versions of this lens.
Bokeh is pretty nice and the lens is nice and sharp, just like the D.
There's not really a lot to say about this lens. Its main virtue over the D is that it will autofocus on any current Nikon DSLR body, including the cheaper models which have no AF motor in the body. Its nicely put together and just like the D version its an absolute bargain. A great quality lens at a really attractive price. If you own a Nikon DSLR and you haven't got one, why not??
