After the somewhat dispiriting experience of looking through my images taken with the 16-50mm zoom, today was a lot more encouraging. I used my Sigma 30mm f/2.8 and the results from the NEX-6 were just so much better. Sharp with no nasty surprises from the raw files.
Why don't Sony just stop making lenses and let Sigma make them instead? And yes I know that not every Sigma lens is an engineering masterpiece either, but the 19mm and 30mm primes are really very good indeed, and if they can do it twice, then surely they can do it again.
