OLYMPUS OM-D E-M5 12-50mm Zoom lens
The above is an Olympus OM-D shot. The ratio is 4:3, which is one of the reasons I like m4/3. However for the most part we seem to be stuck with 3:2. We can probably blame Oscar Barnack - The Leica inventor for this. back in the 1920's he decided this was the ideal ratio for his new 35mm camera. http://fotogenetic.dearingfilm.com/golden_rectangle.html
However its far from ideal and about time other camera manufacturers apart from Olympus and Panasonic decided to be a little more innovative instead of just following everybody else. (The words thing, fine, chance, would, be, and a spring to mind!!!)
