The following are some comparisons with the Sony NEX-7. Shot with the 12-50mm zoom on the Olympus and the 18-55mm zoom on the Sony. So you can get an idea of what the "kit" lenses are like.

First off are two jpg. files showing the lowest possible ISO of each camera.
These are full size. I haven't resized either file in these (though there are two examples of that later) Its important to show that the Sony files are larger, since thats what people who buy and use the camera are going to shoot and use. I've also compared the Olympus at ISO 200 and the Sony at ISO 100. Again important to show, since those of us who want the best quality possible are always going to use the cameras base ISO setting. So the Olympus has to stand or fall by what it sets for this, in this case 200.
The following are examples of the High ISO jpg. output at 1600, 3200, 6400 and if you have the stomach for it 25,600 for the OM-D and 16,000 for the NEX-7
Some of these are quite nasty. The blotchy Sony versions particularly have very little to do with a photograph!!

I'm making no comment on the differences above other than to say at their base ISO's I'm perfectly happy with the results from both cameras.
