All images of or taken with the Sony NEX-5n Zeiss 24mm f/1.8
The first thing to say is that this is a thing of beauty. Like all the NEX system lenses its beautifully engineered and built, with a sleek black metal finish. If you're used to plastic DSLR kit zooms or even m4/3 lenses (with the exception of the Olympus 12mm) then this would be a revelation. However if you have any of the NEX lenses, you'll know what I'm talking about.
I dashed off a few test shots while there was some light and its extraordinarily sharp, even at f/1.8. By some distance the sharpest NEX lens, as it should be for the price. (£850 from Amazon)
Its pretty light, but feels amazingly solid and its absolutely a treat to work with. To those who think its "too big", believe me its your loss, because its not. All the other pancake lenses you love so much are "too small" as far as I'm concerned.

Nothing particularly great in the test shots below but they should give a flavour of what its like. I'll give it a good workout in the next few days. Now where's that NEX-7?
