Fujifilm Fujinon XF10-24mm f/4 Wide-angle zoom lens.

So I picked it up, attached it to my X-T1 and I think I'm in love!

Beautifully built, not too light, not too heavy, fast AF, focuses really close (some of the flowers above were almost in the lens hood), sharp, wide-range, OIS built-in, about the same price as the Panasonic 7-14mm. Oh and with the lens profile in Photoshop, no distortion and no CA and fringing that I can see. Did I mention it looks like it eats small furry animals!

Anyone expecting any kind of negative review from me is in for a disappointment. I really must negotiate with Fuji for a fee for all this fanboyistic gratuitous brand worship. I might as well get something out of it.

Just finished some serious tests as I've actually been booked to do an interior property shoot this afternoon and guess what I'm using.

So Fuji do it yet again. Another well-made, optically excellent, relatively inexpensive lens with great specs. By now it should be clear where I'm heading in terms of a camera system to handle the bulk of my work. And I do seem to be trying to own a complete set of Fuji X lenses. But that's the beauty of this system. Just imagine how much a set of lenses with these specs. would cost if they were m-mount lenses or Canon or Nikon DSLR lenses and then check out Fuji's prices, especially with all the deals they have running.

Who knows whether Fuji will make a financial success of the X system or whether they can even just tick over. But whether they do or whether they don't they are producing some amazing stuff and I can't think of another lens system currently available with this kind of consistent quality. Still no duds. Still nothing less than very good indeed. Just how long can they keep this going who knows. For me, already the best mirrorless system out there and again, as far as I'm concerned, pretty much the best all-round camera / lens system out there as well that isn't going to mean I end up in traction.

Hopefully I'll post some interior shots tomorrow if everything goes to plan this afternoon.
