Nikon 10-24mm f/3.5-5.6
This is a really good lens. Very sharp in the centre, even wide open.
A blowup from the above picture.
I think this is really very good indeed for a wide-angle zoom.
Nikon 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6

Both lenses are very well constructed, and feel very solid in the hand without being excessively heavy. Interestingly, the D7000 is only just over 100g less than my last DSLR, the Sony a850, yet feels a lot lighter. Probably because the 28-75mm zoom I used on the Sony was pretty heavy, which made the camera feel much bulkier.
I'm cetainly very pleased with the performance of both the lenses, and the 10-24mm is a lens I can see myself using a lot.
